Hi I recently had a friend contact me and ask if I could hook up a site done with osCommerce to PayPal and a Canada Post Shipping module - I said "I don't know, what's osCommerce?" Ok so I visited the site and from what I can see it's a full back end, database and templated front end - more or less. Am I right? If so is it as much of breeze as it would appear to be to hook up these two functions? I'm an programmer but not long out of school -as far as web programming goes I was taught the microsoft related scripts and db systems plus Javascript - I'm sure I can navigate my way around PHP, know the C++ basics, but I don't know it well enough to write it. I just want to be able to tell her whether or not I can help her with this with some degree of certainty. Thanks for your help.

Hi Cathy,

Yes, both paypal and Canada post shipping are supported by OSC. The canadapost module can be downloaded at: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,391

The paypal module is integrated into the OScommerce cart admin, just turn it on.

Depending on how much modification you want to do, you can have the cart up in a few hours, or several months. It is up to you.

Paypal is already setup in the Administration under modules. Do a search of the forum. Use Canada Post, canadian, canadian post etc.

Here are three:
