Guest
When I add a product the image is obviously reduced, but it looks horrid. Any suggestions? http://advancedvitamin.com/catalog/product...?products_id=29 Sorry about the spelling im in a bit of a rush. drakonan
Firstly, I didn't see a spelling error... and secondly It's all about ratios: For your vitamins to not get squished you need the width and height to keep their corret aspect... The easiest way to deal with this is to go to your admin and under the configure / images area and remove either the height or width constraint. (Just edit and remove the value) What this will do is allow the unspecified attribute to be scaled with the correct "aspect ratio" (so if the smaller image's sttize needs to be half as wide it's also fitted to be half as tall) I also set all of my images for a certain size that's a multiple of my specified smaller size... in my opinion it looks better that way... Like if I set my image size to 100 in the images section, in photoshop I'd set my large picture to be 500 by whatever, or 400 by whatever. I find if you don't do this sometimes the picture won't look as sharp... say if you had a 490 px by 437 px image certain pixels would be over exagerated or stretched, while others not, leaving an unclean looking image... Do I make sense? - - - - Sometimes, ignorance is bliss.
drakonan
By the way, I never use the preview button below these "reply" forms... for reasons like this I guess I should. I meant "correct" no corret. and the "sttize" is size... Anyway, if you didn't understand what I was saying the main answer is just go to images and remove one of the attribute values (make it blank), either height of width... - - - - Sometimes, ignorance is bliss. Guest
Thank drakonan! I understand what you mean. I tryed your first suggestion and removed the height constraint and set the width to 45. This is what I got: http://advancedvitamin.com/catalog/product...?products_id=30 It seems "decent" -- Can it be better? Or is this the best its going to get? Thanks, - Gian
