hi there.... i have a small problem. I managed to installed the osCommerce site with out a problem. I went the through the install and everything was succesful. At the end of the install where it gives the option to click on "Catalog" or "Administration Tool", If i click on Administration Tool it comes up with what i'm assuming is the Administraion interface with links going to "Configuration", "Catalog", Customers etc etc......... My problem is when i click on any of those links on the Administration Page it comes baqck with an error message like the following:

Error 404 - file not found

What does that mean ? - well exactly that ! the page you are looking (http://localhost/oscommerce-2.2ms1/admin//admin/configuration.php?selected_box=configuration&gID=1) for does not exist

What would be causing this?

I have had this error a few times myself. From my experiences it means that in the install process I screwed up the path info for the admin.

This sometimes happens as I get incomplete path info from the hosting provider or I made a mistake typ[iguing.

How to fix : Reinstall using the Install utility Or modify the configure.php file by hand. The ADMIN path is referenced several times in this file so make sure that you get them all if you do it this way. Asuming of course that you know the correct path. By correct path I mean the paththe the server uses not what users will be using.
