Guest
Hello, I have the following task to do: The database is filled with products, all of which have a 6 digit model number. All begin with 99, which is an identifier for the web as a medium and then 4 digits to identify the product. The same product in the print catalogue has the identifier 10 and then the last 4 digits to identify the product (which are the same 4 digits as on the web). Now the customer wants the search to function in a way that no matter what prefix (e.g. 10 or 99) is entered in the search box, the product comes up. The easiest way to do this I figured is to only search for the last 4 digits of the model number. Is there a somewhat benign hack that I could use to make this happen? Much appreciated, as always! Jason Jacobs
try this for a search query: select * from products where product_number like "%$search_nums" I think that will work for what you're looking for. -j
