Guest Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Currently using osCommerce v2.3.1 We're having a problem somehwre in the final checkout stages. When the final invoice is printed out. the correct email address is shown on the "Ship To" entry, but a completely different one is in the "Bill to" entry. The actual street adresses and names arew correct, it's just the email addresses that are getting confused. What should I be looking for?
MrPhil Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Is this downloadable product distribution, or is something being physically shipped to the customer?
tgely Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 osC has only one email address. How are there 2? osCommerce based shop owner with minimal design and focused on background works. When the less is more.Email managment with tracking pixel, package managment for shipping, stock management, warehouse managment with bar code reader, parcel shops management on 3000 pickup points without local store.
Guest Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 osC has only one email address. How are there 2? That's exactly what I'm trying to figure out. When the invoice is printed out, there is a different email address on the shipping address and the billing address. Soewhere along the line it's grabbing someone else's email address as the billing address.
MrPhil Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Do you have an add-on installed for additional emails? Even then, you should recognize what the "other" email is. I asked about virtual vs. physical products, as the billing address would become important for tax jurisdiction purposes, but still, there should normally be only one email per customer. Is there any pattern or rhyme-or-reason to what the "other" email is? Presumably, that other email is being pulled from the entry for another customer, but does that point to a database problem unique to you, or to a rarely-seen osC problem? osC 2.3.1 is quite long of tooth -- has your host updated PHP recently? I haven't heard of this particular problem resulting from PHP incompatibilities, but anything's possible. What add-ons do you have?
