Jaguar Posted April 8, 2003 Share Posted April 8, 2003 Sorry about your head. :D Two solutions to your problem. First lets confirm that your system has been properly setup. Assuming that you installed OSC using the default install script, you can manually type in the page that your are trying to access in the browsers URL line ---> IE . www.mystore.com/catalog/default.php This should bring up the home page of the shopping cart. IF that worked your problem is related to how your refered to your location of where the catalog and admin portions of the OSC package are to reside on your server. This is usually caused by incomplete information about the realative paths of your server space as supplied by your hosting provider. A sample relative path might be : /var/www/vhosts/yourdomain.com/httpdocs/catalog however you may have entered : www.yourdomain.com/catalog To Fix: delete the old installation from your server and reinstall. Make sure that your database is already configured and created. For this first time DO NOT try to use SSL . I say this only because unless you got the right paths down this will create additional problmes. (afterwards you can always delete this install and reinstall with SSL.) Seconc way modify the configure.php files for both the catalog and admin portions of the site. they are located at catalog/includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php Loren The great thing about beating your head against the wall is that it feels SO GOOD when you stop!
