MechX2 Posted April 6, 2003 Share Posted April 6, 2003 Please help, I want to install oscommerce but cant when i run catalog/install it says: New Install Step 1: Database Import A test connection made to the database was NOT successful. The error message returned is: Access denied for user: '[email protected]' (Using password: YES) Please click on the Back graphic to review your database server settings. If i am wrong, other person, please correct me...:) I have not try to use the auto-install, I do from Manual Install..here is what i do. 1. I create the databse by using Phpmyadmin. 2. i unzip the oscommer mil. 3. I copy the folder Admin and Catalog in to a server root. 4. After that i go to congiure.php in catalog/includes and admin/includes , I made some change for a databse name, databse user, databse password 5. After that i go to windows directories and serching for php.ini..and then i made some change : register_global = on For all this step, I do it in my computer for tesing them first... Once you upload to your serverm you migjht have to set the new configure.phjp in both Admin and catalog. finally, I am still a beginner, and also stuck with something either..T_T Thank you Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
