Hi all,

After hours of tweeking, my store is open to the public. I am looking for some feedback from other store owners.

We are always looking for a better way to do things so if you have any suggestions, please feel free to email me or post a reply.

From the sticky at the top of this forum:

Not only do the general forum rules apply here, but any stores discussed here must have the "Powered by osCommerce" text displayed. Not only are you using osCommerce, but you will also receive valuable advice from the osCommerce community. If your site does not contain this, the posting will be deleted.

Might want to do that.

Ah, I see you have the text down there at the bottom of the page now, although, picky me, I'd like to see it actually *linked* to the OSC site...

As for the site itself...The dark blue "rating" stars don't show up well on the dark burgundy background.

I'd also highly recommend replacing some more of the OSC standard graphics since the transparencies on them really aren't optimized for dark backgrounds (I'm in the process of replacing them on my site as well so I know it can be a lot of work - but well worth it in the long run).

I like your product list layout - was that a contribution? If so, which one? The only problem I see is that on products that you have on "special", the special price barely can be seen because it's so close to the color of the darker background (ex: http://www.cybererotictoys.com/catalog/def...php?cPath=21_63 Notice the special price on the Alexis Nubby...)

Also, a few of your thumbnail images look really skewed because they're all set to the same width and height. I'd seriously consider picking *either* the same height or width for the thumbnails and not both, unless you're going to create the thumbnails yourself and create them already at the specified dimensions by adding space around the ones that don't work out to that exact shape (I may not be making any sense in the last sentence - happens sometimes I'm afraid  )

A few of the larger images in the product descriptions took awhile to load too. Could be my connection though.

btw, your prices are some of the best I've seen ;-)

It is very tedious working on those oscommerce images, there is actually a contrib that has some better ones. We left those images out when we upgraded to MS1, but intend to bring them back; I think it included the stars.

The product list layout is all in how you number, in the product listing of your admin console. 1,3,0,2,5,0,0,4,1,3

As for the thumbnails, there is not much I can say. We have over 2000 products and I just can't get motivated enough to thumbnail them out and update the db.

We appreciate the price comment
