Point of Sale (POS) Front End for OSC

MarkK

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I've had a look through the forums and add-ons, but to the best of my ability I haven't been able to find a Point of Sale (POS) add-on for OScommerce (if one exists).

I have a brick and mortar front end, but also sell online. What I'd really love to be able to do is run a front end POS module in-store when selling to customers face to face, and have that tie in with my stock levels and product details in the OSC database for my online store which is already running.

I'm not looking for anything too outlandish, just producing an receipt slip, tax calculation, ability to update quantities on-hand/on-order, and frequent buyer (if possible, if not I can find another solution for that).

Does anyone know if there is such a module, or any pointers to send me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance,

MarkK

Hi Mark,

May not be upto what you are looking for, but I use an add-on called Manual order maker, for customers who call to collect items I set up a Customer account called "Counter Sale" and put all orders on this "customer" so in effect all bricks and mortar sales are handled through OSC.

If the customer requires the invoice in his name for tax purposes, i simply change the order name on order editor.

Hope that helps a little

Now running on a fully modded, Mobile Friendly 2.3.4 Store with the Excellent MTS installed - See my profile for the mods installed ..... So much thanks for all the help given along the way by forum members.

I have a pos as part of turbocash (osfinancials) smallish opensource ERP system that syncs with oscommerce.

I think @@burt also has implemented some small scale POS solution for someone in the past.

Jared Call has developed ocPos, but I don't know the current state of affairs.

KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON

I do not use the responsive bootstrap version since i coded my responsive version earlier, but i have bought every 28d of code package to support burts effort and keep this forum alive (albeit more like on life support).

So if you are still here ? What are you waiting for ?!

Find the most frequent unique errors to fix:

grep "PHP" php_error_log.txt | sed "s/^.* PHP/PHP/g" |grep "line" |sort | uniq -c | sort -r > counterrors.txt
