Though... bare in mind that if the osC team are creating search factilities, this takes them away from the development of osC. People are bitching enough as it is about the delevopment time frame of version 2.2. I think they're doing a great job... they don't get paid to do it and people expect them to develop like there's no tomorrow. The team is capable to do that themself much faster (if the priority was high enough) When you send in a script what use will it have ? It will take more time to rebuild such a script to make it work then to write your own. I don't think the Team's priority is a search function. They're the osC team... not the search function team. Hence the reason I suggested someone get a script together and submit it to the team. It will be done, the contrib section is a work in progress, like mentioned in the weekly summary reports. But right now our priority lies on a stable code release, ie MS2. MS1 is pretty dandy and I have no real complaints beyond 1 time problem with osC doing something to my browser's cache ???? (mystery in the works so to say :wink: ) I mentioned this search ability a while back but then got to see a what's new instead :? Oh well, I'd trade 2-3 dev time on MS2 for a search box :wink: since then you'd also cut out about 10 posts a week asking where is such and such :wink: So, for me personally I see a search box as being a time saving device :D Also, having a link in the main left box of the site would do wonders I bet, however I can see the possiblity of it being too gaunche so who about a big green title between the Support Forums title and above the News what ever title. My first week here had me confused since I didn't really see the tiny contribution link since I was looking for "mods, modules, or plugins". .........
