H2comics Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Who can help me? I can’t log in anymore. My website is www.h2comics.com. It was built using oscommerce 2.3.1 and it works perfectly. However, my provider is going to upgrade to PHP 5.4 soon. To make my website compatible I need (so I was informed) to upgrade only two files from the oscommerce 2.3.3 catalog: /includes/functions/sessions.php /admin/includes/functions/sessions.php I did all this and now, when I want to log in as a customer, I get the following fatal error: Call to undefined function tep_whos_online_update_sessions_id line 189 How can I fix this? For the time being I've re-installed the original sessions.php file.
♥joli1811 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Lot more changes than x 2 files when upgrading from 2.3.1 would suggest you look again latest version is 2.3.3.4 http://library.oscommerce.com/Online&en&oscom_2_3&release_notes&v2_3_3_2 http://library.oscommerce.com/Online&en&oscom_2_3&release_notes&v2_3_3_3 http://library.oscommerce.com/Online&en&oscom_2_3&release_notes&v2_3_3_4 Regards Joli To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.
H2comics Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 Hi John, thanks for your reply. I'm aware there have been many changes since 2.3.1 but I was merely looking for a simple way to keep my website "alive" after the PHP 5.4 conversion. I can remember doing a lot of tweaking and swearing a few years ago. I'd rather not go there again if I can avoid it. As it turns out, though, the instructions my provider gave me aren't sufficient, or so it would seem. This is the link that is/was supposed to solve all my problems http://crimsonshift.com/oscommerce-2-3-x-compatible-php-5-4-x-fix/
