Adding Weight as a Product Attribute

Hi,

I am building this site for a client and they have two different weights for every product. However the product attribute is not being added to each product page, and when you click on add product to cart it will not add it. Really need help on this. I am working in Version 2.3.3.

Here is a link to a product that should have two different weights as a dropdown:

What else would you like to know to help me troubleshoot?

Thanks..

I don't understand what the issue is. First off, there is NO weight Option added to that product you referenced. Therefore, there is no available weights to choose from. The issue is, you're not setting the attributes correctly.

-Create the option

-set the option values

-assign the option and option values to the product.

Let me clarify. I went into the product attributes and created a weight option. I then added my two different values for that option. I then added the weight option under product attributes. But it does not populate the actual product page. Am I missing a step?

It does appear as if the options are not assigned to the product. First you add an option name, then set up a value and assign it to that option name, and then add the option AND its value to the product as an attribute.

If you want to use this area to add an actual weight, you will need to use one of the addons available for product attribute weight, but if you just want to give a weight choice and add a set price then your good to go as is.

They can be tricky to set up at first. Just study the default install setup.
