MyExpressions Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 "Products marked with *** dont exist in desired quantity in our stock. You can buy them anyway and check the quantity we have in stock for immediate deliver in the checkout process" This message is showing up under all the products I have when a customer chooses a specific product to buy. I cannot figure out how it came to be or how to get rid of it. I also need someone to help me get rid of the Flash pictures at the top of my site as they keep phone and Ipad users from seeing my site. I also need a general facelift to this side, but none of my previous web masters will have anything to do with OS Commerce. Please help!
MrPhil Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Do you know exactly which version of osC you are running, and what "add-ons" are installed? That information would be useful for anyone to help you.
Dan Cole Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Your red text is your out of stock message....it is telling the customers that you don't have sufficient stock....depending on the version you're running you should be able to control whether that message shows or not in the configuration settings area. Need help? See this thread and provide the information requested. Is your version of osC up to date? You'll find the latest osC community version (CE Phoenix) here.
Chris H Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 It is provision for allowing the customer to place an order - a so-called back-order - even though the product is temporally out of stock. If that is not what is wanted then, as Dan Cole says, you can set admin > Configuration > Stock > Check stock level to 'false'.
