How can I NOT over write clearance product price when apply specail

Hi, I am currently using advanced specials to manage my promotion. It is a very good add on, and I can apply specials base on brand or category.

However, this addon will over write the price that already on specials.

For example

Product A: $20.00 On sales at $18.00

Product B: $10.00

Product C: $30.00 On sales price: $10.00 (Clearance price no end day)

Case 1

So, now if I trying to apply a promotion at 50% off on my products

Product A: $20.00 On sales at $10.00

Product B: $10.00 On sales at $5.00

Product C: $30.00 On sales price: $15.00

In this case product C on clearance, the promotion price will be higher than the clearance price which is incorrect, I need to manually correct the price again.

Case 2.

Apply 5% promotions

Product A: $20.00 On sales at $19.00

Product B: $10.00 On sales at $9.50

Product C: $30.00 On sales price: $28.50

In this case the product A and C will given a higher price than the current promotions price.

How do you guys manage your promotion price then there are mix promotions going on at the same time. is there a add on allow me to add in a clearance price for products?

Thanks in advanced, and any advices are welcome.

Using the standard specials module, you would assign the price for each product accordingly. However, it sounds like you are using a contribution to modify the specials you offer. If that is the case, you won't be able to differentiate between specials and discounted items (clearance). You would need to add a contribution that does not use the standard specials code to do what you want.
