Guest Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I followed the instructions at templatemonster.com/help/how-to-reset-admin-panel-password-in-oscommerce.html but nothing changed. There were several other sites that gave duplicate instructions. I tried logging out of the database before I tried to log into osCommerce again. Nothing. Still the same error. I've been doing various versions of Unix since 1985, and the web since 1996, so I'm not exactly a newbie. Oh and BTW, it's on GoDaddy. I'm very fastidious about copy/paste notes of my logins/passwords, so NO I didn't type it wrong. Somebody... please help this osCommerce wannabe.
burt Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Your version of osCommerce is ? The exact error message you are seeing is ?
De Dokta Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Hi, in the DB simply truncate the table administrators. The next time you login you are asked to enter a new admin / password. Do it, submit, then again enter the newly created admin / password and you're back in it. greetz J. J.
Guest Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 @@webstergal Godaddy has been updating their servers to newer versions of SQL and PHP. If you are running an older version of osCommerce, your site may need to be updated to be functional with the server changes. I suggest you contact Godaddy to see if your server has changed. That would explain, at least in part the issue you are having. Chris
Guest Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... One hint said to reset the password to admin by insterting the hashed text 37408dac283835de2d133073408b4609:23 then go in and change the password inside osCommerce... Yay, I'm in!! BTW GoDaddy is running 2.3.3
naturesgrace Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Inserting the hashed text where? I am having the same problem although I am not even positive about the user name either at this point. Any suggestions?

The next time you login you are asked to enter a new admin / password. Do it, submit, then again enter the newly created admin / password and you're back in it. greetz J. J.
