Hi to all, I’m completely new to OScommerce. I’ve to develop an e-commerce site, but I’ve some requirements to meet and I am currently search for the most suitable CMS to use.

I need to:

1) set offer price for single products

2)have an image slider on the homepage witch show the products currently on sale and it’s price and it’s (obviously) automatically updated

3)a link (with image) on the homepage with a product on sale and a timer witch goes backward to the end of the offer

4)the site must have two menus, one on the top of the page, and the main menu just under the logo of the site placed below the top menu

point 2 and 3 can be collapsed togheter but in this case all the offers must have a timer

can you point me to plugins that can do thos things?

thank you

1. Please explain if this is different from just setting a price for a product. Is this some sort of special or sale price?

2. This is not built in to osC. There are "slideshow" add-ons to display selected products, but I don't think any of them show the price (or any other textual information) -- that would be a custom change you would have to do. The ability to show price, etc. would be a nice addition for the community. I don't know if any add-ons let a customer click on the slideshow image and go to the product page. How "automatically updated" are you looking for? If something is marked as "on sale", you want to automatically generate the slideshow? I don't know if that's available, but it should be possible to do.

3. A countdown clock on featured specials? I don't know if there's an add-on that does that, but it should be possible to add. Would this be part of the slideshow in (1) or a separate feature?

4. Can you explain a little more what you're looking for (what's on the menu) and how it differs from the stock product?

1) think the OP is referring to 'make an offer' in this case

I think that you will find most everything in the contribution area and what isn't there, you can code yourself to create the functionality you want.

1.yes, i was refferring to special offers.

2.yes, all the products marked as "on sale" should be displayed in the slideshow

3.i prefer that it goes to a separeted block of the page, but if i can't mark two type of specials offers (eg. "on sale" and "special price just for today") for a single product i can show all the offers on a single slideshow

4. the top menu should contain, the login form, the link to the user panel, shopping cart and maybe other things. the main menu links to the catalog, categories, homepage, "about" page.

I think the shopping cart come with the special offers function, if you want something that allow you to apply special by categories order brand, you can install the Advanced Special add on ( search in the addon area).

There is a addon call Happy Hours Specials.

This addon allow you per set your promotion products by days and hrs, it also can bring to your front page.
