♥joli1811 Posted January 30, 2014 Author Posted January 30, 2014 Well reported to google as bad business practice and entered a removal request lets see just for the craic To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.
MrPhil Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Hmm. Are they actually speaking of "Open Source" [e-]Commerce in general, or osCommerce specifically? In the former case, poorly worded (easily confused with, and damaging to, osC); in the latter case, libelous.
♥joli1811 Posted January 30, 2014 Author Posted January 30, 2014 Hi came across a few times the last few years https://www.google.co.uk/search?site=&source=hp&q=dont+trust+oscommerce&oq=dont+trust+oscommerce&gs_l=hp.12..35i39j0i13i30.1599.8022.0.10334.23.22.1.0.0.0.230.2643.2j19j1.22.0....0...1c.1.32.hp..0.23.2655.MqPPgh6BU_g Stumbled across again last night and had a MOMENT :D Looks like a paid google add so asked Google to remove obvious to me directed against oscommerce doesn't say anything about e-commerece At least that is what I see Regards John To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.

MrPhil Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Yeah, it's a rather misleading hyped headline (deceptive). Once you get on their page, it doesn't say anything about malware, just a 100-to-0 scorecard of features. If osC were my product, I'd certainly be taking legal action against Volusion for their scare tactics. Having Google take down their ads would be a good start.
♥joli1811 Posted January 30, 2014 Author Posted January 30, 2014 Well will wait and see if Google reply who knows anyway Google picked up this thread relatively quick with a good bit of SEO who knows haha To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.
