pigeonhut Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 hi having issues with IE11 and paypal payment details get transferred across to paypal, and get presented with login page, but as soon as you sign-in to pay, it crashes the browser its fine in chrome and FF, so from what we can see, this is specific to IE11 any ideas ? tgely Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 sounds like Pay Pal issue. We cant do anything. Quote osCommerce based shop owner with minimal design and focused on background works. When the less is more.Email managment with tracking pixel, package managment for shipping, stock management, warehouse managment with bar code reader, parcel shops management on 3000 pickup points without local store.
pigeonhut Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 its not paypal, it works fine in chrome and FF the issue is with the way the site sends data to paypal in IE11 it works in IE10 also Quote
pigeonhut Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 if any of the paid support guys pick this up, happy to open a paid ticket if there is a solution Quote
burt Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Therefore the problem is likely IE11. Not a lot that can be done about that from this end, as I presume Microsoft have at least a couple of software people working for them ;) http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11 Quote
pigeonhut Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 yes, granted, but we are looking for a fix from the paypal module, as it appears to be the way the data is parsed across. Getting end users to change browsers until MS provide a fix, or workaround, is not really an option. Quote
♥14steve14 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 The problems you are having are probably down to IE11, nor oscommerce. Just do a quick internet search and see how many people are having troubles with PayPal and IE11. Have you contacted PayPal and let them know you are having a problem with the module in IE11? They may be able to help. Have you also tried using the compatibility setting in IE11 and see if the problem goes away? I expect it will. If it does go away in compatibility mode, you will need to let Microsoft know, as they may put it right, but they will only do it if enough people complain. Quote REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
