redtogo Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I just joined osCommerce this morningand after sorting things out and adding a few products I logged out. When I tried to log back in again I found I couldn't. I installed osCommerce using Mojo and while they did send an email advising of a succesful install and they supplied the URL, the admin URL and username but no password. I didn't worry about that because I thought I would click on the lost password button to get a new password and then I discovered there is no lost password button for admin who can loss their passwords just as easily as customer for which there is a lost password button. Can this problem be quickly fixed so that I can continue to use osCommerce?

You are not the first to forget your admin password, and you will not be the last. What you need to do is to empty, not delete, the administrators table in your database. You can hopefully do this from your hosting cpanel using phpmyadmin. Then return to your admin login page and enter your new details, and do not forget to write down what you enter. REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
