littleonion Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 I am trying to install a Spanish language pack so my customers can translate the site, but I don't understand how. I have watched multiple videos on how, and read the install instructions multiple times, but the directories they show are not ones that I have in FileZilla. They are using FileZilla as well. When I think I might have done it, my site says that it cannot connect to the server. I delete the language pack, and after an hour or so my site comes back up. What am I missing? My version is 2.3.3.4, should I install a previous version? Are people working on a simplified way of downloading things? Such as, the site is associated with your domain, and all you have to do is push a download button which installs it for you. Quote
littleonion Posted January 10, 2014 Author Posted January 10, 2014 I should add that the directory I cannot find is the catalog. Every download seems to use it but I don't have it. Quote
♥toyicebear Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 it depends on where you shop is installed... if its in the root of your domain it will not have a catalog folder. Go to the directory where you oscommerce shop is installed and add the new language files under: includes/languages/ Quote Basics for osC 2.2 Design - Basics for Design V2.3+ - Seo & Sef Url's - Meta Tags for Your osC Shop - Steps to prevent Fraud... - MS3 and Team News... - SEO, Meta Tags, SEF Urls and osCommerce - Commercial Support Inquiries - OSC 2.3+ How To To see what more i can do for you check out my profile [click here]

Go to the directory where you oscommerce shop is installed and add the new language files under: includes/languages/ I tried that and it still had no icon and then crashed the site. No add-on pack seems to work, language or other. Quote
