fotoruss Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Hi All, I've submitted a support ticket (after paying for a community sponsorship) but haven't heard back after 3 days - in fact I can see that nobody has even viewed the ticket. I know it's the time of year when people are away, but is there another avenue where I can contact those that would be able to help? Thanks! Rusty
Jack_mcs Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 As far as I know, there's not a support ticket system in place. You can post a request for paid help or ask for free help in the various forums. If the problem is with the forums or your account here or something like that, you can contact one of the moderators. Dan Cole Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 @@Jack_mcs I'm not sure how it works but there is a forum for Support Tickets which you'll find here... http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/forum/85-support-tickets/ Need help? Jack_mcs Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Is the support url you both mentioned for paid support? If so, I did mention that in my reply. Or does the oscommerce team now offer support? Dan Cole Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 @@Jack_mcs I think there are two ways Jack...one is offered by the team and seems to mostly relate to issues regarding osC per sa...it reads as follows: Support Tickets are private support enquiries regarding osCommerce Online Merchant. We may ask for FTP access to your server to aid us in identifying the cause of a problem. We will do our best to help you with a problem with an Add-On however this is not officially covered and may introduce additional reasonable costs depending on how customized your online store is. Official support hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm CET (support is also likely be provided off hours and on weekends when we are available). The other method is to get support via the Commercial forum which is for our community developers who offer support for add-ons, customization requests, help with installs, updates etc. Need help? See this thread and provide the information requested. Is your version of osC up to date? You'll find the latest osC community version (CE Phoenix) here.
fotoruss Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 Thank you gentlemen for your replies. I think you have confirmed I have done the right thing so far... not sure why nobody has looked at the ticket yet... probably on holidays or something! I am getting the pressure put on me more so I think I will contact a moderator (as suggested) or post a reply in an existing thread with the same problem. Cheers.

burt Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 The http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/forum/85-support-tickets/ forum is not serviced by the osCommerce team, it is serviced by Harald alone. If you get no satisfaction in there, ask in the forum (do not put any information you want to keep private, eg webhost login passwords and so on) in any public forum post. If your peer group of fellow shopowners cannot provide satisfaction, you might like to approach a developer for 1-on-1 help and that is at http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/forum/79-commercial-support-enquiries/
fotoruss Posted January 13, 2014 Author Posted January 13, 2014 @@burt Thank you, good to know. Yes, I will start a thread and post the question in the public forum.
