Snarg Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I just installed a fresh, out of the box, copy of 2.3.3.4 on a test server. The only modification I have made to the store is to add KissER Error Handling & Debugging, located here: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/7705 When I go to 'Admin > Modules > Shipping' and click on 'Install Module', am am greeted by a large list of errors. Just curious, is it safe to ignore these or not? Here is what I get: Date / Time: 10-12-2013 14:43:04 Error Type: [E_NOTICE] Use of undefined constant MODULE_SHIPPING_ITEM_SORT_ORDER - assumed 'MODULE_SHIPPING_ITEM_SORT_ORDER' On line 23 File /homepages/25/d238487425/htdocs/test/includes/modules/shipping/item.php -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Date / Time: 10-12-2013 14:43:04 Error Type: [E_NOTICE] Use of undefined constant MODULE_SHIPPING_ITEM_TAX_CLASS - assumed 'MODULE_SHIPPING_ITEM_TAX_CLASS' On line 25 File /homepages/25/d238487425/htdocs/test/includes/modules/shipping/item.php -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Date / Time: 10-12-2013 14:43:04 Error Type: [E_NOTICE] Use of undefined constant MODULE_SHIPPING_ITEM_STATUS - assumed 'MODULE_SHIPPING_ITEM_STATUS' On line 26 File /homepages/25/d238487425/htdocs/test/includes/modules/shipping/item.php -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Date / Time: 10-12-2013 14:43:04 Error Type: [E_NOTICE] Use of undefined constant MODULE_SHIPPING_TABLE_SORT_ORDER - assumed 'MODULE_SHIPPING_TABLE_SORT_ORDER' On line 23 File /homepages/25/d238487425/htdocs/test/includes/modules/shipping/table.php -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Date / Time: 10-12-2013 14:43:04 Error Type: [E_NOTICE] Use of undefined constant MODULE_SHIPPING_TABLE_TAX_CLASS - assumed 'MODULE_SHIPPING_TABLE_TAX_CLASS' On line 25 File /homepages/25/d238487425/htdocs/test/includes/modules/shipping/table.php -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Date / Time: 10-12-2013 14:43:04 Error Type: [E_NOTICE] Use of undefined constant MODULE_SHIPPING_TABLE_STATUS - assumed 'MODULE_SHIPPING_TABLE_STATUS' On line 26 File /homepages/25/d238487425/htdocs/test/includes/modules/shipping/table.php -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Date / Time: 10-12-2013 14:43:04 Error Type: [E_NOTICE] Use of undefined constant MODULE_SHIPPING_USPS_SORT_ORDER - assumed 'MODULE_SHIPPING_USPS_SORT_ORDER' On line 26 File /homepages/25/d238487425/htdocs/test/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Date / Time: 10-12-2013 14:43:04 Error Type: [E_NOTICE] Use of undefined constant MODULE_SHIPPING_USPS_TAX_CLASS - assumed 'MODULE_SHIPPING_USPS_TAX_CLASS' On line 28 File /homepages/25/d238487425/htdocs/test/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Date / Time: 10-12-2013 14:43:04 Error Type: [E_NOTICE] Use of undefined constant MODULE_SHIPPING_USPS_STATUS - assumed 'MODULE_SHIPPING_USPS_STATUS' On line 29 File /homepages/25/d238487425/htdocs/test/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Date / Time: 10-12-2013 14:43:04 Error Type: [E_NOTICE] Use of undefined constant MODULE_SHIPPING_ZONES_SORT_ORDER - assumed 'MODULE_SHIPPING_ZONES_SORT_ORDER' On line 105 File /homepages/25/d238487425/htdocs/test/includes/modules/shipping/zones.php -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Date / Time: 10-12-2013 14:43:04 Error Type: [E_NOTICE] Use of undefined constant MODULE_SHIPPING_ZONES_TAX_CLASS - assumed 'MODULE_SHIPPING_ZONES_TAX_CLASS' On line 107 File /homepages/25/d238487425/htdocs/test/includes/modules/shipping/zones.php -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Date / Time: 10-12-2013 14:43:04 Error Type: [E_NOTICE] Use of undefined constant MODULE_SHIPPING_ZONES_STATUS - assumed 'MODULE_SHIPPING_ZONES_STATUS' On line 108 File /homepages/25/d238487425/htdocs/test/includes/modules/shipping/zones.php -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
MrPhil Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 You should not ignore them. These are definitions that failed to be put into the database when the modules were installed. Did you follow the instructions for installing and activating modules such as shipping zones? Did you see any errors reported when they were installed? They are supposed to update the database then.
Snarg Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 This is an absolutely bone stock, fresh install. I see the errors when I go to 'Admin > Modules > Shipping' and click on 'Install Module'. Is it safe to assume the errors go away when the module is installed?
MrPhil Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Is your database working properly? Does the sample merchandise work OK? One possibility is that there is something wrong with your database.
Snarg Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 As far as I can tell the database is working great. I can browse the entire site, view all the products, create an account, fill and empty the cart. I have gone all the way through checkout, up to actually paying for an order. Is it possible the errors are being generated because the modules are not yet installed? If anyone else would see if they could duplicate these errors, that would be great. It is a stock install of 2.3.3.4 and this module: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/7705 To get the module to work with 2.3.3.4: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/topic/352949-kisser-error-handling-debugging-contribution/page__st__160#entry1687286
