Tax not showing up

I have taxes setup, but on the checkout_confirmation page the taxes are not beng shown nor is it included in the total. What file(s) do I need to look at to see if it has been corrupted? Using v2.3.3.

I would suggest that you don't have the taxes set up correctly. 3 things are needed for correct taxes. Zone(s), Classes and Rates. They all need to be linked for the tax system to work correctly.

That I understand. But I don't see how they are linking.

 

For the Tax Zone I am given 2 boxes to fill out; Zone Name and Description. (Should this not have a drop down box that links back to the Zones?)

 

For the Tax Classes I am given 2 boxes to fill out; Tax Class Title and Description. (Should this not have a drop down box that links back to the Tax Zone above?)

 

For the Tax Rates, I have a drop down box for the Tax Class Title and Zone, both which are correct based on what I entered for those items above,so this is linkng. The other 3 boxes are Tax Rate, Description, and Priority which I fill out.

 

The way I see the current set up it has no way to know if the shipping address matches a tax zone, which is why I think I may have a corrupt file somewhere, most likely related to Tax Zone and Tax Class pages in admin.

There's a description of the process in the documentation.pdf that's included with your copy of osCommerce. Look under Locations and Taxes (pages 50-54 in the current version).

@@kymation Thanks Jim, that did it. I was missing one simple step clicking on the tax zone I created changing it to the Geographical Zone.
