Guest Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 My host is currently having major issues with their MySQL servers, so when my customers visit my site they see a mess of database errors. Is it possible to instead redirect to a more friendly error page (like you do with 404s) when errors are happening? It just looks so unprofessional having the errors showing...
MrPhil Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 If it's for short-term problems, I'm not sure I'd put in the effort (i.e., it's not simple like dropping in a /404.shtml file). However, others have been asking about this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11471740/error-page-for-mysql-errors and https://www.google.com/search?q=custom+mysql+error+page&rlz=1C1AFAB_enUS516US516&oq=mysql+custom+error+page&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0j69i60.11345j0j1&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
burt Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I'm not sure if this would work for you, but it's worth trying; clubosc.com/mysql-server-down-oh-no.html
