We've been using paypal forever, but have recently changed the way we take card payments, both through our website and over the phone. So the question is, if (when), we cancel our paypal merchant account (saving us £20 per month!), will people still be able to pay us from their paypal account??? Should our website/payment option still work as it does now, or would anything need changing??? I have spoken to someone at paypal to try and confirm the merchant/pro account just gives the virtual terminal, (for card payments over the phone) and allows us to integrate credit card payments, but although he said that should be the case, he didn't sound confident and I'm not sure he really understood what I was asking!!! So has anyone tried this??? Basically, do people on here use paypal to accept payments, without having a merchant/pro account, (at a cost of £20 per month)??? All help greatly appreciated!!! Rob.
