where to place shop files

HI

 

have a client with a normal php website who now wants to add ecommerce.

 

Should I rename the oscommerce index.php to say shop.php and then alter all the menus etc ( hopefully they are all controlled by one include) or should I loade the shop files into a sub directory under the htdocs ie \shop\index.php

 

Not keen on the idea of using index.html as the main home page and then index.php for the shop becasue the hostong company will not guarantee that index.html will load in preference to index.php

 

appreccciate any advice

Hi - upload the osC files to a folder someplace under the existing site then run the install - much easier ;-)
