altermate Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Hi. I have been running the site for years and all modules work correctly. I just happened to to check the modules folder within admin to change Paypal and Shipping info however there is no modules showing up. Everything works fine except for the fact I can't edit the modules through the Admin site. Any ideas?? I have tried different web browsers but nothing seems to change. I have cleared the cache. I really need to have access to these modules as I need to change the info.. Thank you.
♥mommaroodles Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 what version are you using, what you could do is download the same package as you using, and upload the payment modules - just make sure you upload them correctly. ♥joli1811 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Hi Steve, Probably a corrupt module you have not said which version of oscommerce you are using I would replace first the payment modules with a standard install both the payment modules and the language payment modules as Melanie said above. Regards Joli To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.
altermate Posted September 27, 2013 Author Posted September 27, 2013 Thanks... However how do I know which ones to download? Also will downloading it change how it works, will I need to re-enter all the payment details again? Thanks. (I am running v2.2) I know it's old.. lol
♥kymation Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 The most likely cause is that your host has upgraded their version of PHP and/or MySQL, so your old code no longer works. If this is the case, your only choice is to update your osCommerce installation. Regards Jim See my profile for a list of my addons and ways to get support.
altermate Posted September 28, 2013 Author Posted September 28, 2013 Thanx... If that is the case what is the easiest way for me to fix this? Which upgrade should I do with as little fuss as possible?? Thanx again.
♥kymation Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 With code that old, the easiest would be to set up a copy of the latest version of osCommerce and import your customers and products. You would also have to install the modern version of any Addons that your old store has, providing that you want to keep them, and that modern versions exist. The alternative is to apply all of the upgrades for each version, one at a time. This produces an incomplete upgrade that is still quite different from a modern store. I don't recommend this when your store is as far out of date as yours is. Regards Jim See my profile for a list of my addons and ways to get support.
