HTML Newsletters stored in text mode in database

Hi,

I am in trouble with HTML Newsletters.

I run Oscommerce 2.2 and have installed those contributions :

- FCKeditor_1.2_1

- FCKEditor Newsletter HTML

- NewsletterUnsubscribe_v2.3

 

When I write a new newsletter, FCKEditor loads fine and the newsletter looks great while it is the WYSIWG editor. Then I save the newsletter and if I click "preview" to see how it definitely looks like, all that I can see is a newsletter in plain text!

 

If I look inside the "newsletters" table with PHPMyAdmin, I see that all the html tags have been removed from the newsletter text.

 

Any Idea about how I can fix this ?

Hi,

I have found a workaround for my problem : I do not use the built-in newsletter manager anymore but a dedicated one instead.

I have installed wanewsletter and modded it to import the subscribed oscommerce customers in its recipients database. Then I can send html newsletters without a hitch.
