MrPhil Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Any web host worth the name will have a backup of both your files and your database. However, 1) they may keep this backup for only a few days, so don't delay in contacting them, and 2) they will probably charge you a fairly stiff fee to recover your site (unless they acknowledge that it was a failure of their system that led to your site being erased). After getting your site back, make your own backup of files and database, and download it to your PC. Investigate what happened to your site, and take measures to prevent it happening again. What version of osC? You should be at 2.3.3.2 -- the 2.2 versions are very insecure. Do you have other applications (Wordpress, etc.) installed on your site? They can be entry points for hackers, if they're not up to date. Do you regular scan your PC for spyware, and have a firewall?
