Simple color change?

Hi All. I am really new to PHP and though have managed in the past to make style changes without too much difficulty. The OSCommerce v.2.3.3.1 has me totally baffled!! Thanks to a couple of you on here you have pointed me sort of in the right direction to make some initial changes but I am still really stuck on a simple button background color change. I have already changed the header bars to a maroon color by editing the only background image that I can locate. And with some help have managed to change the border colors from light blue to black once I understood that this is controlled in a CSS file under ext/jquery/ui. The problem I had here was that I installed the Snapfish sliding menu addon so I was editing the wrong CSS file initially. Just to complete the color blending all I want to do is to change the background color of the three buttons (Cart Contents / Checkout / My Account) at the top right of the page along with the background colors of the Snapfish categories down the left-hand side. In the Snapfish CSS I made 2 color changes but these only change the hover colors so I'm guessing it uses the same non-hover color from the original CSS file for the top buttons. Problem is I just cannot work out which file this is - have tried loads to no avail! I would be really grateful if someone could just point me in the right direction here. Once these colors are done I then only have language text to change to get it all up and running. Thanks in advance.

There is also a stylesheet in your ext/jquery/ui/redmond file. If you cahnge the colour of the buttons in there, it wil alter every button on the site.
