pkon Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Hi, We have issues with IE 8 & 9 on http://www.czerwonykapturek.com.pl/sklep. This is unfortunately are very modified version 2.2A, so for now we do not want to update. On this site there should be information on the centre of the page and the right column, They are shown in IE 10 and Firefox, Opera etc. When a category is chosen then these appears as they should. To us it looks like when index.php is called then this is not shown in IE 8 & 9. Any advise how to rectify the situation?

MrPhil Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Note that after trying to bend the World Wide Web to its way of interpreting standards, Microsoft lurched to the other extreme, starting around IE 7 or 8. They are now extremely strict in what they will accept for pages, and if you're having trouble with IE 8 or 9, just wait til you try IE 10! Anyway, pages that work fine in Firefox, Chrome, etc. are often not acceptable to IE. With the help of the validator, try cleaning up your code (use <tr> in tables, don't use self-closing tags if you insist this is HTML 4.01, etc.). Make sure the <!DOCTYPE> tag realistically reflects what your code actually is.
