all Catogory images not showing

In the admin Catogory and product I have edit and place images and the show the images in the edit area, but they do not show up on the web page catogaries links, just the name of the catogory shows.

I don't know if I am supost to do something to make them show.

I am using oscommerce 2.3.2

The image should appear with no further action required on your part.

 

Have you tried the FF right click option of view image info?

if your mean in the category/product page in the admin area, right clicking the image there, yes and it showed the size and the images are there.

Top level categories do not show an image. Only subcategories show an image when you are in the parent category.

 

If you want to show a category image on the front page for each of the top-level categories, use the Categories Images addon, or the Modular Front Page addon which contains a Categories Images module. See the links below.

I installed the Modular front door and it was great but not what I was really looking for.

Also I looked at the Categories images Box.

 

What I am looking for is to have the categories in the category box have images.

I have tried the admin selecting the images in the category/product. It shows the image in the edit area for all the categories

but when you bring up the webpage it only shows the text version of the category.

I don't know why they are not showing the image

The categories box is not designed to show images. I'm not aware of any addon that modifies that box to show images. You would have to modify the code in the categories box to do this.

Is there a Horizontal drop down menu add-in for oscommerce v2.3.1?

I have seen them for later version, but don't know if they would work for this version, with out a lot of rewriting.

There's a horizontal menu in the Header Footer Content Modules addon.
