Show only the Manufacturers for selected Category?

can anyone point me to a plugin for showing only the manufacturers for a selected category?

 

so if say a category is selected,

 

then the manufacturers box will only show those manufacturers for the category i've selected, rather than all of the manufacturers.

 

for 2.3 if anyone can point me to one, that would great

but its not what i mean.

 

On my manufacturers infobox on the left column, i've outputted it as an unordered list rather than a dropdown selection.

 

What i'm trying to do, is that when i've selected a category, then only the manufacturers for that specific category will be shown in the manufacturers infobox.

 

as of currently, the manufacturers infobox always shows all the manufacturers for all products, regardless of which category i'm in.

 

is it to do with the SQL query?

Are you sure that's not what you mean?

And are you sure you are looking at the small manufacturers list above the list of products.

 

You can copy that code, and put into your new infobox.

I will check it. I think you are right.

I don't know I'm confusing myself!

 

So I should basically be outputting that dropdown into an infobox.

I will give it a go.
