Shop login error and new customer registration error

When a customer try to creat an account in my shop or log in to their accout, they get the following error message:

 

Warning: session_regenerate_id() []: Cannot regenerate session id - headers already sent in /includes/functions/sessions.php on line 179

 

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/bbjrnse/public_html/shop/includes/application_top.php:556) in /includes/functions/general.php on line 49

 

when trying to log in they are actually loged inn when they return to the top of the shop (home)

 

Any suggestions to how to solve this problem?
