MrPhil Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 If your 2.2 RC2 store runs OK (PHP and MySQL levels), you should have no trouble running osC 2.3.3. Note that there are two ways to get to 2.3.3. The best way, in the long run, is to do a full install of 2.3.3 and migrate your database (possibly backup/import into a new database, then upgrade) and product images. You will need to install any add-ons that you need (check that they are available for 2.3.3). There is also an upgrade path from 2.2 RC2a to 2.3, but this is not recommended. It leaves you with a "frankenstore" which is not a true 2.3 installation (sort of a hybrid of 2.2 and 2.3), and you still need to upgrade to .1, .2, and .3. If your 2.2 store is heavily modified and you can't face redoing it in 2.3.3, or add-ons you need don't work with 2.3.3, this may be viable for you. Either way, try out 2.3.3 and the migration process first in a "sandbox" (password-protected directory and separate database) so you don't risk mangling your production system while you're playing with 2.3.3. Once you're happy with 2.3.3, you can 1) make file and database backups of your current production system (and know how to restore your site should something go wrong), then 2) copy over the 2.3.3 files to the production site and migrate the production database to 2.3.3.
