Product Attribute not saved in order

On my shopping cart, the customer gets the list of product options on the product_info page, but as soon as he adds the item to the cart, it seems to me that that information is lost.


The orders_products_attributes table is empty, although I have orders.


When the cart is shown, should the selected options be displayed to the customer (in my case it's currently not)?


Also, in the confirmation email and in the admin, there's absolutely no reference to the option that the client selected.


Please help.
