brandnewen Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I run oscommerce shop 2.3 I noticed if the customers's payment failed when they tried to pay by paypal express checkout or moneybookers etc,but the customer himself doesn't get any email notification to tell him this payment failed ? the customer will only get email notice "order process" when their payment has been successful. so any advice how to let customer still get the email notice even if their payment failed ? thanks.
brandnewen Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 by the way, every time the customers failed to process paypal payment, I(admin) will get an email titled PAYPAL EXPRESS DEBUG E-MAIL". I will also find this failed order from admin-customers-order . but the customer himself didn't get any email notice.
Guest Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 @@brandnewen If the payment failed, they are sent back to the website to choose another payment method. Either they will choose another and complete the checkout process or they will exit the site. No email is required. Chris
brandnewen Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 thanks. but if the payment failed, could an order still be created under this customer's order history ? I noticed there is no order record at all if the customer's payment failed.
Guest Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 @@brandnewen No, if the payment failed, there is NO order. Therefore, no order history. Orders are only recorded when successfully completed. Chris
brandnewen Posted July 4, 2013 Author Posted July 4, 2013 I see. the reason why I have this kind of problem is because almost 99% customers who failed to pay for the first time will leave the shop without any further orders. so I hope the oscommerce shop system could send the customer an email automatically to let him know other payment methods including this order history.
