Reinstalling with HTTPSDOCS and HTTPDOCS

Hello,

I am reinstalling Oscommerce for a company that has a SSL certificate and uses both a httpsdocs and httpdocs symlinked directories in its hosting server. Previously the Oscommerce was split between the httpsdocs and httpdocs folder and was copied numerous times, interacting with different databases and creating a conflict when trying to access the admin panel. I was wondering if it is possible to reinstall the whole Oscommerce root folder into the httpsdocs folder without it having any content in the httpdocs folder? I know in the config.php folder you need to list both the http and https hosting server, would this create a conflict in the Oscommerce platform? I'm really just trying to make the install and folder layout as simple as possible.

It needs to be the other way around. All of the files are setup in the httpdocs directory and a symlink added so that when a secure page is called it will work correctly.

Ok so if I setup the Oscommerce platform in the httpdocs folder and ask my hosting provider to symlink the httpdocs and httpsdocs folder I should be able to connect to the catalog under a secure connection?
