Mmmm? No emails?

I have recently set OSC up and am hoping to go live with the store in the next few days, problem is - it won't send ANY emails.

I have tried sendmail and SMTP settings and still the darn thing won't work, naturally my incoming email is working as it should, so I now this is an OSC thing.

 Maybe it just doesn't like me or can see through the fact I am only pretending to know what I am doing!

Hope some one can shed some light.

Thanks

Sean

are you getting any error messages when you try and send? I had the same problem when I first set it up... I didnt get any error messages and it said the mail was sent... come to find out that the brightmail that my ISP was using was blocking it... If thats the case setup a hotmail account and see if it sends there... hope this helps if not maybe someone with more experience can help ya :|

No error messages at all, just says email sent.

Thanks for the tip - will try that.

If it is my ISP though, will I not have the very same problem sending email to customers, whose ISP is using brightmail????

I contacted the postmaster of my ISP and he is currently looking into it for me... I talked to a couple people and they mentioned maybe changing the subject line on the emails...but I havent done so yet because Im still waiting on a answer from my ISP... If he tells me I need to change the subject line I'll let you know too..

Mine used to work sending to Hotmail and then it just stopped in the last week. It will send to anyone else, but Hotmail is blocking it or something.

My site goes live in 2 days...and I can't find any help here. :(

 Seems my problem was with my ISP who has blocked my domain name from going through its mail server.

i.e. when I sent email from [email protected] it labeled it as bulk email, which means if I sent it to a yahoo mail account it would automaticly put it in to their bulk mail folder.

So when I was testing my OSC setup to my ISP email address, it would not accept delivery.

Have you tried contact hotmail to update their servers to unblock your domain name. I had to do this with Yahoo mail when I tested sending mail through my ISP. It may be possible (I guess - because I am no Guru) your ISP may have played the same trick on you?

Good luck
