satch
I made a post looking for contractors for a large OsCommerce project, why was it removed? Is it not allowed? Please advise. :?: http://andrewpwatson.com
greree
It happened to me also. I don't understand the policy on this. It seems like they delete posts at random with no warning and no explanation. Some people who offer to pay for help have their posts deleted, and some people don't. Complain to Harald. Another idea would be to look through the posts to find people who seem to know how to configure osCommerce and PM them.
satch
oh, I would think that the experts and developers would be more than happy to make some money with this product. I may have to work with another system. :?: http://andrewpwatson.com
moyashi
:?: I haven't figured this one out either .... I noticed that Mattice now has a support osC link in his signiture. I can truely understand the dev team wanting to make some money to cover there time and effort. Before crossing over to php and osC I used to hang out at a full perl site with literally thousands of members and veterans ranging around 15,000 posts each. (not sure if that means much ....) The reason for mention the above information was that that site pretty much let's members offer and ask for help in a special forum. It's interesting that the owner of the site makes more money off outside work than what members end up paying for some of the scripts. It could be that folks have their choice to 1.) dig the forums and deal with newbie-agravated members 2.) hire a veteran/freelancer or 3.) go straight to the big boys. After thinking this out a little more I can see how by maintaining the non-outside-commerical approach is protective of most users here though too. It would be nice though for a clarification on this matter. NewsDesk(934) / FAQDesk(1106) / OrderCheck(1168) :::
Harald Ponce de Leon
Postings have been disappearing either by it being removed, or it being moved to another channel. Postings are removed when they contain advertisement or when they are completely off-topic. Off-topic meaning there are currently no appropriate forum channels where it would better reside in. Postings are moved when a forum channel exists which better fits the content of the posting. This is part of a program to clean the content of the forums. The forum rules will be updated sometime this week which will state how the clean up program is being run. , osCommerce
