If you only want Portuguese to be available, then be sure you don't have any language files present other than those for Portuguese. The code in the shop will detect the location of the visitor and load from those files, if present.

Are you saying if you open both IE and Chrome on your computer and visit your site that you see it in different languages?

It just shows English in both for me but that is due to the detection code I mentioned previously. It might be that IE and Chrome are giving different results when it checks your language (on your computer). I don't have any suggestions other than to check the language that is returned in application_top. That won't fix anything but may identify the problem.
