chrisdunn Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 I have installed the PAypal Express module, but if it is used, it correctly goes to get a customer to register and then goes to Paypal, but it does not pick up the shipping costs or offer any shipping costs. Whereas a customer checking through in the normal way ends up with shipping costs. This renders the shop unuseable with PAypal. I see that I am not the only one with this. This does appear to be a major bug. Does anyone have any thoughts? Ver 2.3.3, Using neutral free OSC Chris
Guest Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 @@chrisdunn Use PayPal Standard with API credentials instead of PayPal Express. PayPal express should only be used for virtual goods or if you have PayPal configured to add the shipping on that end. Chris
chrisdunn Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 I'll give that a try, thank you. BRB to let you know if it works.

chrisdunn Posted April 3, 2013 Author Posted April 3, 2013 I rang Paypal and we should use PAypal Express and the problem is the shop is NOT picking up shipping, not Paypal. What is the answer?
Guest Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 @@chrisdunn If you use PayPal express in osCommerce, the shipping phase is skipped in the checkout process. Therefore, PayPal is incorrect if they are saying that PayPal express will include shipping. I suggest you use PayPal Standard with certifications or an API module. Chris
chrisdunn Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 When I spoke to paypal, they did say I should use Paypal Express (something to do with less than 10 products in a basket). I have solved it by forcing the Paypal Express to go to registration and then a shipping choice is forced. I have used that in 2 developing stores: http://cartboot.1trewithen.co.uk/oscom/index.php
