Pages not working in Store

I'm new to osCommerce and I've been tasked with fixing a site whose pages have just stopped working. Apparently they were working up until last week and now they are not. We have not touched it at all. Would anyone have any idea what's going on by just looking at it? (http://wineshopni.com/)

For example, if you click on the links to the left they do not work.

I think I'm using v 1.280 (taken from application_top.php).

Would it be a matter of the store being outdated? If so how would I go about updating the version?

I know this is a vague post, but I'm not quite sure what my problem is.

Many thanks in advance,

Kristina

There is no version v.1.280, this may be the template version, or whatever, for sure not the osCommerce version

This sound a bit strange. How can you fix something if you don't know anything about?

Is this not the task itself?

However, I would guess it is connected to the url rewrite tool you have in use. Disable/remove that temporary and check again

It might just be something as simple that you have inadvertently deleted the htaccess file or overwritten it with a new one which does not contain the needed rewriting rules for the SEO Urls.

Thanks for your quick replies! I've just started working at a web development place and I've sometimes got to work on fixing problems on sites that I haven't created, which involves using pieces of software that I haven't used before. It's a matter of learning as I go, so I'm afraid that's why I'm calling on your advice for this problem.

What sort of rules should my .htaccess include for the SEO URLS? At the moment I can only see "php_flag register_globals on"

Also where would I find this url rewrite tool so I can disable it?

Many thanks

You need to fix the root problem. By changing the URLs you have masked the problem but created more (and potentially worse problems); you will destroy this clients google goodness (for a while).

You need to track down precisely which SEO Urls system is in use on the site. Then find it in the addons area, and go through the installation instructions and ensure that your code matches. Then turn on the SEO Urls again, and ensure that the Urls match precisely what they were before you turned them off.
