brighthorizon
Hello, I'm using the download feature in osCommerce. I must say it is working great. but i'm running into one problem maybe you guys can help me figure it out. If customers complete a transaction but haven't paid or payment is not confirmed (eg sending a cheque or money order) they can still view thier orders and download the file. How can I prevent unpaid orders to not show the download file until the status of order is changed to delivered? I set the status of check or money order payment to "pending" but they are still able to see the link and download the file? Has anyone fixed this problem or know how to fix it? Ajeh
Downloads Controller v5.3 is designed to handle that for MS1 or snapshots with Payment modules that have the orders_status setting in the Admin.
brighthorizon
Do you have step by step instructions on the download controller? I have tried to set it up uploaded all the files to the specified folders and imported the sql file to my database. But i kept receiving an error when i tried to do a test order. It always seemed to keep giving me a call function error and it would tell me the line. When I'd look at the line specified it would always be the code for webmakers.com? I don't need the freeshipping option is there a way to leave that off? What I'm trying to achieve is just to prevent people that have not paid for an item but completed checkout using money order or check. that they will not be able to see download link until the order status is changed to delivered. Does this make sense?
Ajeh
Downloads Controller v5.3 has a README.txt file that pretty much spells out everything you need to do. The next thing that would help is use Beyond Compare to put in the code changes. What snapshot date are you using?
