We have an oscommerce site and no access to login details

Hi,

I'm new to oscommerce having inherited a site from my predecessor at work. Now that I have found the site, the log in details I've also tracked down don't work. I've done a search for lost login details here and can't find anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction for sorting this out and regaining access to this site?

Hi,

You will first need the cpanel access from the hosting provider ( whoever pays the bill should have this in a welcome mail).

 

You will then need to be able to access phpmyadmin which will be in your control panel.

 

You will also have to find which version you are using a link would help.

 

The procedure to regain access differs according to what version of oscommerce.you are using!

To get access to your admin area, as John pointed out you will need cpanel access from your hosting provider. Once you have that, truncate your administrators table using PHPMYADMIN. Then, log back into the store admin area and create a NEW username and password to gain access to the store admin area. Pretty simple once your in the cpanel.
