partrade12 Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I have designed the layout of what i want my site to look like. could someone please instruct me how to get my design layout to show and function on my site. I just need the next steps. I use photoshop, fireworks and dreamweaver CS6! Thanks!

MrPhil Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Needless to say, you cannot use any of those WYSIWYG tools to implement your design. There are some tools to help you fiddle with the CSS files (for instance, see Firebug for the Firefox browser, and similiar function built in to some other browsers), but for the most part you are going to be using plain text editors to change .css, .php, and perhaps .js files. Hopefully you can do enough of the job with just editing the .css files, because it sounds like you know nothing about programming. A web designer cannot go beyond updating .css files -- you have to be (or need to get) a programmer.
