HI,

I just got a new client and she just aquired this new website. She had Godaddy move it to her server that they host.

When I was looking throught the admin area I saw this error:

Error: Backup directory does not exist. Please set this in configure.php.

I told her to check with the GoDaddy since they moved it over to there server. They told her it was a programming code error and they could not help her. I did think that was a little silly since it worked before they moved it.

Can anyone help me fix this issue for her?

Also, I notice this was any older vision of osommerce as well 2008. I am not sure if that makes a difference.

Any help would be greatful.

Thanks,

llana

Please ask your 'client' to hire an experienced osCommerce developer or come to this forum and open a paid support ticket. The biggest mistake a 'client' can do is to hire someone NOT familiar with the software. If you are a professional, you would not have taken on this client, you would have referred them to a professional.

Did you check to see if there is a backups directory in admin folder?

I will admit that I am not an "experienced osCommerce developer". I do have experience with osCommerce websites. When getting the client I was hired to do SEO. I do know how to do many other things. I noticed this issue and wanted to make sure that it was taken care of for her. She just got the shopping cart and does not know anything about it. She sent me the information for the the admin area last night I saw the error and talked to her about it. Godaddy did not give her the answer she was look for.

I have not gotten all the access information at this time so I have been unable to check to see if there is anything in the backup directory admin folder. But I did notice that a few things did look alittle off compaired to the osCommerce sites I have worked on in the past.

I may direct her to a paid support ticket. I did see a few other error messages in her admin area.

Thanks,

llana
