kunsz520 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Hello everybody, I know this is a very naive question. I've been thinking of starting a website with shopping cart, but never got to really touch OSCommerce. When I set up my own server provider, domain name, and products/services terms and conditioins, how can I initiate my "online shop" with OSCommerce? OSCommerce is a backbone, with which I shall then fill it with all my product and service details. Any of your help/assistance/suggestions/comments is greatly appreciated. Thank you. David
Guest Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 @@kunsz520 osCommerce is a complete ecommerce solution. You add your terms, shipping product descriptions and images directly into osCommerce. Nothing else is needed. Download v2.3.3, unzip it, upload it to your hosting location and start adding your products. Chris

prvhk3 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 2.3.3 is template based? i have used 2.2 but now using 2.3.3 bit confusing. my right column is overlapping on the center. Can i know where to fix?
burt Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 2.3.3 uses 960 grid system, there are a lot of good tutorials some of which are specifically 960>oscommerce (search in google). In general you need to think of the system as a bunch of "containers" where you can position these containers using a grid system. You can also go more advanced and make the containers slide up and down and left and right to suit the design. But to start with you just need to know the basics of the 960 grid system. 960.gs
