Session dropping with IE8, not FireFox

Hi all.

 

I went live with a reasonably modded 2.3.3 which isn't working well with Internet Exploder 8.

 

Here's what happens:

 

A Returning Customer goes to the login page and enters correct username and password,

The login page reloads and the user re-enters the password. The URL will then have a session ID on the end (for instance "http://myshop.com/index.php?osCsid=6f2a297114d4b9e7f9bdb7f9fc4182c2)

As soon as the user navigates to any other page, the session is lost and the next URL will not have osCsid=6f2a297114d4b9e7f9bdb7f9fc4182c2 (or any other session ID) attached.

 

In FireFox, the Session ID is always on the end of the URL.

 

I've tried dicking around with the "define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN'" settings in configure.php and the settings under tha Admin console, Sessions - to no avail.

 

Is this familiar to anyone? Help would be appreciated.

I would suggest its your IE 8 Cookie settings preventing the session from occurring. It's not osCommerce if it works in FF
