About PayPal Account Optional from PayPal Express Checkout Module Setup

hope you all well.

I running an oscommerce store,and have been using paypal express checkout module for quite a few days

 

One thing I feel confused is there is one option: "PayPal Account Optional" at oscommerce's PayPal Express Checkout Module Setup. but I don't know if I need to set it ON.

 

by default,this PayPal Account Optional set to off from oscommerce admin.

 

But I have setup PayPal Account Optional to ON from my paypal account's profile-website payment setup.

 

my question is whether or not I need to turn on this "paypal account optional" from oscommerce's admin ?? if I turn it on,then the new customer who doesn't have the paypal account could complete the payment on my website without registration ? if I turn it to OFF,then the new customer has to register a paypal account before processing the payment at my site ?

because from paypal site's explation as below.this option is for customers who don't have paypal account to complete the payment. it could be good if new customer could use their creditcard to process payment through paypal express checkout without having to be a paypal user. only my guess...

 

 

About PayPal Account Optional

When PayPal Account Optional is turned on, your customers who are new to PayPal will no longer be required to create a PayPal account to complete a purchase—they will go through an alternate checkout, and will have the option to sign up afterward. Customers who already have PayPal accounts will continue to enjoy the privileges of those accounts, such as payment history and integration with eBay Auctions, and their checkout experience will remain the same.

 

This feature is available for Buy Now, Donations, and Shopping Cart buttons, but not for Subscription buttons.

 

Note: If you have turned on Auto Return and have chosen to turn on PayPal Account Optional for new users, a new user will not be automatically directed back to your website, but will be given the option to return.
